People can have a good time on a date, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're really into you. It seems outrageous, but even though you can talk, laugh and be physically close, unfortunately it doesn't imply a next time. That person may have had a good time, but was not into you. It's sad, but it's something you have to realise and accept. Of course you can end up feeling used and foolish, questioning yourself, blaming yourself, or resolving never to love again.
Whatever the reason, don't obsess about it. Treat dating as a learning experience- you can learn as much from "failures" as form "successes." If you feel used, then you gave much more than you received and you need to make sure next time that you get your needs met, too. |
